Are Mediyn's notes really as good as Upheal's?
Yes. Mediyn benchmarks well against Upheal for modality-specific note generation. Both handle CBT, DBT, EMDR, IFS, ACT, and psychodynamic notes competently. Mediyn pulls ahead because the same session data also drives worksheet generation and assessment scoring.
I'd need to switch my EHR too. Isn't that a lot of work?
Switching one platform (your EHR + Upheal) to Mediyn is usually faster than maintaining two. Migration is 2 weeks; we handle the data export from your current EHR and from Upheal in parallel.
Does Mediyn have the on-device privacy story you talk about?
Yes. By default, PHI is detected and redacted on your device before anything is transmitted - client names, addresses, dates, phone numbers, and identifiers are replaced with tokens before the cloud sees the transcript, and every note is labeled with where it was processed. Upheal processes session audio in their cloud (and deletes it after processing).
What's the pricing difference?
